Lauren Fritz is a writer/director who has taught filmmaking at NYU Tisch School of the Arts since 2014. Currently she has just completed her first novel, Utopia Parkway — a time-traveling, genre-jumping coming of age story that follows best friends Kit, Cassie, and Ava throughout the decade of the 1990s as they navigate love, loss, and one particularly seductive vampire in a Y2K end-of-millennium America.
Lauren received her BFA from the Department of Film & TV at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and her MA in Urban Studies & Video for Theatre at NYU Gallatin School.
